Water Project Fund
The Water Project Fund was created in the NM Finance Authority for the deposit of all money of the Board for the purpose of providing financial assistance to qualifying water projects pursuant to the Act and the payment of administrative costs and origination costs. The Water Trust Fund was created in the State Treasury as a permanent fund for the deposit of money appropriated, donated or otherwise accrued to the fund, from which annual distributions are made to the Water Project Fund.

implement the provisions of the Act through establishment of organizational and operational policies, procedures and rules

oversee and administer the Water Trust Fund and Water Project Fund

Review and recommend funding for qualifying water projects to the NM Legislature

Pursue private, local, state and federal funding opportunities to accomplish its goals.
