The Colonias Infrastructure Act (ACT) was adopted in 2010 (laws 2010, Chapter 10, Section 1, effective July 1, 2011; codified at §§ 6-30-through 6-30-8, NMSA 1978, as may be amended from time to time, based on the legislative finding that colonias lack basic infrastructure for water and wastewater systems, solid waste disposal facilities, flood and drainage control, roads and housing infrastructure.
The purpose of the Act is to ensure adequate financial resources for infrastructure development for colonia recognized communities, provide for the planning and development of infrastructure in an efficient and cost-effective manner, and develop infrastructure projects to improve quality of life and encourage economic development.
2017 Colonias Infrastructure Board Application Information
The information requested by the Notice of Intent (“NOI”) form will be used to create an account for the 2017 online Colonias Infrastructure Project Fund application.
This is not an application form. Following the NOI submittal period, an email will be sent regarding your online application account.
Please note, a separate NOI must be submitted electronically for each application you plan to submit. Please submit all NOI forms no later than 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016, to firstname.lastname@example.org
The application cycle will open December 1, 2016.
